WHERE IS TELLURIDE?Located on the scenic San Juan Skyway in southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village are 67 miles south of Montrose, 125 miles northwest of Durango and 127 miles south of Grand Junction. We are located 6 hours from Aspen, CO., 6 hours from Albuquerque, N.M., 7 hours from Denver, CO., and 8 hours from Phoenix, AZ.

WHAT IS TELLURIDE LIKE? DO WE NEED A VEHICLE?Be prepared to fall in love! Telluride is a National Historic Landmark District with Victorian-era architecture. Resting at the base of the Telluride Ski area, Telluride is surrounded by 10,000 to 14,000 foot peaks. Roughly 10 blocks by 5 blocks, this pedestrian-friendly town makes having a car unnecessary unless you plan day trips outside of the local area. Other methods of transportation include the Galloping Goose, shuttle rides and the free gondola that connects Telluride and Mountain Village from 7am–midnight daily. You can expect friendly, down-to-earth people who enjoy sharing their love of Telluride with others. In short, expect to fall in love and return again and again to your new home-away-from-home.

WHERE ARE HEART OF TELLURIDE LUXURY RENTALS?The Heart of Telluride townhomes are indeed in a prime location in the heart of town. In less than five minutes after stepping out of the front door, you can be hiking up a mountain, fishing in a stream or riding up the gondola to world-class skiing. The free gondola is only two blocks from these townhomes, the grocery store is one block away, the movies are next door, and fabulous restaurants, shopping and galleries completely surround us. We are located at 213 West Colorado Avenue (Main Street) on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of a beautifully designed building just above Paragon Sports. Our neighbors are The New Sheridan Hotel built in 1888, The Phoenix Bean, Azadi Fine Rugs and the Nugget Building built in 1892 which houses the Nugget Theatre. IS SMOKING ALLOWED?No, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property.

WHO RIDES THE GONDOLA?Everybody! The gondola is free to pedestrians and skiers who want to travel between Telluride and Mountain Village. Mountain bikers and hikers can also ride the gondola to access the ski area trails. There are handicap accessible cars as well as cabins designated for pets. It is the only transportation system of its kind in North America and has been called “America’s most beautiful commute”. We highly recommend multiple trips on the gondola to see the breathtaking vistas.

IS THERE AN EMERGENCY FACILITY IN TELLURIDE?The Telluride Medical Center is a full-service, 24-hour medical facility with emergency ambulance and helicopter service to neighboring hospitals. A certified Level V Trauma Center, the medical center is the first stand-alone clinic not associated with a hospital to receive this designation in the state of Colorado.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN TELLURIDE?This unique location provides some of the nicest weather in North America. Telluride boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year, and if it not snowing or sprinkling, Telluride is pure sunshine. Winters are mild in comparison to other resorts to the north. Summers are an alpine delight with comfortable days and cool nights. The average humidity is only 10%. Paradise!
